I am not the biggest fan of the TSA. I don't think they really make a difference in my safety and just manage to waste my time. For the most part rules that were in existance long before the 9/11 disaster stilll weren't being enforced. The TSA also is now determined to protect you from those deadly disposable lighter.
However the TSA recently started enforcing one rule I love. The limit as to the number of carry on items you take into the cabin of a plane. This means you get one carry on item such as small piece of luggage or laptop and one personal item such as a purse or small briefcase. One of those item can be the silly plastic bag of stuff you picked up at Disney, but that's it. No more. This means you can't carry 20 items you couldn't fit into your overstuffed suitcase. This is wonderful. This new measure isn't being done for your security. I don't care what the TSA says. It is being done because you and dozen of bags of crap are annoying. Trying to squeeze you tons of crap down the aisle and into the overhead compartment is a pain in the ass, not a security risk.
I had the pleasure of watching some woman get all upset at the screener when they told her she had to consolidate her 8 bags down to two. The woman complaigned that she couldn't get it all to fit in her tiny carry on bag. The screener basically told her she should have packed the stuff in her checked luggage . The woman whined that her suitcases were full and she checked in the limit she was allowed without having to pay an additional fee( note if you want to check 10 suitcases you can but the airline will charge you after the second or third suitcase depending on the airline). I thought this woman was going to cry. I just gave that evil grin that goes from ear to to ear. To bad for you bimbo. This rule has been around even before 9/11 most airlines let you slide and didn't care. Now they are enforcing it. Making some travelers miserable and others like me thrilled to no end.
Now I travel quite a bit. I have seen some interesting things over the years at the airlines. I had had some horribly gross things happen to me while traveling. I think this thread on fark.com was great.
