Well I survived Hurricane Frances. Only to get screwed by an ebay seller. Next time I want dinner and a movie.

Hurricane Frances wiped out every tree in my yard. I spent three days cutting up tree parts only to create a pile that was 6 feet high x 10 feet deep x 40 feet long. I wanted to take more pictures but the rain ruined my digital camera. I got 24 stitiches from my chainsaw as a reminder that power tools can be fun. No power for 10 days was fun. I am on a well , so no power means no water. Inspite of everything the hurricane did, we came out pretty well. Only for me to get screwed by some loser on ebay.

I was checking out Ebay. Every now and then they get something obscure I want. Such as a Nishiki Riviera GT frame. The whole bike would have been nice but I could at least start with the frame. Now I made two mistakes. 1. The sale had a buy it now option and I didn't use it. I thought I might be able to get it cheaper than the buy it now option. Some one else put in a couple of bids and I had to get the item at just a little higher than what the buy it now price originally was. 2. Despite having a relatively decent feedback setup I should have listened to the exisiting negative feedback with a bit more care.

When the auction closed and I won. I paid for it with Paypal, I haven't had any problems with them. I know others have, but even this isn't their fault. I never received an email or acknowledgement from the seller. I waited and sent over 30 days 4 more emails. Eventually e-mails to this person started to bounce. His mail box was full. I received no response. Almost 30 days after the auction closed I filed complaints with Paypal, and Square Trade. I also called the seller and got no response.I didn't expect much and as of this date I haven't had any reason to believe otherwise.

Paypal got back to me and said sorry nothing we can do. Okay, fine. The auction was for under $100.00. I didn't think they were going to do much. Square Trade this site is a joke. I filed my complaint which they don't tell you till the end is $20. Also I have tried to log in and check on the status of my case and it keeps acting like I am a new user who needs to start all over again and sign up all over again. My recommendation, avoid Square Trade.

I caution anyone buying an item from this person to be careful. I received an email from another Ebay member who was also having a problem with him. Anyone who thinks I shouldn't have posted the information on the seller needs to understand that I am doing this to protect others from a fraudulent seller. If you think just leaving negative feedback is enough well that is your opinion and I don't agree.

A small footnote. As I was finished writing this, I went back and checked the feedback I left him. He replied to the feedback. He says it is on it's way. My faith level is not real high.

Well it looks like Tim has screwed a few other buyers. His approval rating on ebay in going into the tank.

Tim finally sent the frame. I received it 11/10/04. I orginally ordered and paid for this on 8/22/04.
Well I guess this issue dies here. I just will have to try to be better on who I deal with on Ebay.
