I have made some changes to the dhcp article. I have some concerns with the article and my revamp it completly. The main problem being that if you do not already have PPPoE already set up this article will be confusing. Also if you have a cable modem there are several serious changes that need to be made. I have tried to include them but it seems like the article has become a jumble.

I have also been hanging out a little bit in freenodes #freebsd. It has some incredibly smart people in it. The unfortunate aspect of it is that it can be a bit of a rough ride trying to get help in there. I am all in favor of doing your reasearch on google and reading the handbook. However I will admit those in the know don't make it clear understandable responses much like the handbook and some of the google answers. There are as of this date some serious issues with gettext and the libs that it coorespondes with including those for Flash, Java, and several other programs.

I think that FreeBSD is a great OS and the people behind it are incredible, but I still have problems trying to understand what I perceive as simple issues that need simple solutions. Having to go through a portupgrade -rf gettext for three days and then not have it solve my problem is an issue. Having to be told to google and RTFM enough times that I could puke and still those things didn't help. I finally found someone with incredible patience who upon helping also admitted that my answer wasn't out there. I will may be write another article about it but I am still not finshed with the issue.
