I was working in Orlando, FL today. Upon completion of my project. I took a quick walk around downtown Orlando. Realizing that my cash level was low I figured I would hit an ATM. Now I just would like to have gone to an ATM with Washington Mutual. Since that who is I bank with now. This would cut down on outrageous ATM fees. The downtown Orange County public library was right next to where I was walking. I figured the library would have a few public computers with internet access and I would use one to find an ATM close to me on the Washington Mutual site.
Well I was right, the library has internet computers. However if you don't have an Orange County library card you can't use one. At least not for free. It will cost you $10.00. That's right non county residents in response to 9/11 need to pay for internet access in a public library. Now I am not an Orange County resident. I am not going to go and get an Orange County library card just to find an ATM, and I am certainly not going to pay $10.00 to a public library to use a computer for five minutes.
I don't know if all of the Orange County libraries are like this. I know that in my travels I have never had another library ask me for money to use their internet computers. I know this, the library didn't get the $10.00 and because of my frustration, the local businesses didn't get any of my money either.

The Regal Theater in Royal Palm Beach is a friggen trash heap. I went there to see Revenge of the Sith. They aren't cleaning the theaters in between the showings and I was literally at certain points ankle deep in popcorn and soda cups. I could just feel the butter sticking to the bottom of my shoe. Every cup holder had an empty soda cup or a napkin or something nasty stuffed in it. I am not one of those people who is a neat freak but I am not real fond of sliding to my seat, because the floor is equal to an ice skating rink.
You know I would expect this kind of sloppiness in a New York theater because they are suppose to be pig styes up there. This is however the worst I have ever seen a theater in down here.
