I am still working way to many hours. I hvaen't really been home for any length of time for almost two weeks and I leave for another job on Monday.
The small hive beetle issue has not gone away so I am going to help it. I don't have a queen that I can see. So maybe the queen cell did not take. The small hive beetles have been destroying hive that that the bees don't work on. So as a drastic move I removed frames that did not have a lot of bees on them. You could see the small hive beetle crawling through the cells of the hive. I was going to put empty frames in but I decided no to. The nuc box group of bees is doing pretty well , no signs of infestation. Leonard from the beekeeper group is going to come by on Saturday. I hope I get home from work in time.
The difference between a hive that is full and a hive that is not is dramatic.
Okay I have to go back to work.

My hammer as I squish them. The cardboard trap I used today revealed two small hive beetles. The bastards! I took a serial killer type satisfaction as I ended their miserable lives. My future as a pacifist is in question. However my future as the next leader of a genocide movement is showing great promise.
